This stood out to me because I drew everything without using any flash cheats, I was influenced by Shinya Ohira’s unique style of breaking the line into fluid energy in order to make the action feel more alive.

This is the last of three shorts we did for The Science Alberta Foundation including “What To Do with CO2” and “What is Machine Learning?” The last three shorts were completed over a year long contract and were done with an extremely small team. This video explores how pipelines are used in our everyday lives.
This was definitely the biggest one of all. The character animation is super simple, but the backgrounds were a tremendous amount of work and the render times were ridiculous.
i’ve been away for a bit with Kristen Campbell (http://okutonic.tumblr.com) to do a 48hr animation competition in Stuttgart, Germany. It was for the ITFS festival! It was super wonderful - we were doing it in a bookstore and the public could come in and watch us work. We were the only North American team and were honoured to win!

The Toronto International Film Festival is back this year and it’s got a lineup of great short films both live action and animation from students across selected post secondary institutions! Please pass this around! and the TIFF student film showcase is coming to Vancouver! My classmate and I got into this festival with our animated short “SWIFT” and “TAM,” created at Emily Carr University of Art & Design.

When I was a babb I’d piss myself laughing at how retardedly funny the whole thing was. Especially the intro sequence with all the shit from outside flying into the car while nanalan lost her fucking mind strapped to the back seat of the death cab barreling down the street as traffic behind her is launched to and fro in Roland Emmerich style cinematic fashion. Not to mention how she just straight up caught toast floating around mid air and the aunt or mother or grandma who is… a whole something her own right. I swear to god, if you were to get a toddler high as balls this is what you’d get.
